Friendly Visitor Program
Community Service also becomes an integral part of Johnson City library and we call it as Friendly Visitor Program. The essence of this program is to deliver and bring library services to Johnson City citizens who cannot go to the library due to a disability. Who is eligible in receiving Friendly Visitor service is anyone who resides in Johnson City area that does not have physical access to the library. Johnson City library volunteers will deliver books and other library materials to homebound citizens and stay for a friendly visit. Here are the details: EBSCO ARRC will include auto repair manuals for domestic or imported vehicles, The CQ Researcher will help researchers in finding original, comprehensive reporting and analysis on issues in the news. Realizing that technology has astonishingly improved time by time and human beings as the technology consumers need a more advanced way in getting knowledge that fit into their electronically sophisticated gadgets, Johnson City library keeps trying to tune in digital world and as the result, a new library resource titled R.E.A.D.S. appear for our modern patrons. R.E.A.D.S stands for The Regional E-book and Audiobook Download System which allows our patrons to retrieve and download digital versions of print books which are familiarly known as E-books and digital audio books to be played on their home computers, notebooks, netbooks and certain portable audio players like iPods, iPhones, as well as many other Windows WMA portable players
